Art project Nabq

Art project Nabq

Start: September 2006

Common artwork at the Bedouin village El Ghargana in the national parc of Nabq, located at the peninsula Sinai.

In the context of workshop projects in the Sinai we started the art project Nabq september 2006.

An intercultural exchange of the two artists, Salha Spahel and Garda Alexander, arises out of the common painting of the huts in El Ghargana, as a permanent value for the Bedouin community and the visitors.
At the same time there are art workshops for the children to advance their talents and creativity.

Salha, a deaf and speaking-impaired young girl who captures Bedouin life through her drawings. Salha’s drawings have attracted international acclaim. She is the only Bedouin artist acknowledged through the egyptian estate.

The project started 2006 and in the following years we could realize a lot of workshops beside the art project in the bedouin village.
